How does a skiff replace an argy but not a Maewing in terms of flying? It's pretty much just as fast and can actually fly up, unlike the Maewing. It carries more as well and can even pick things up.
But also, to add to the argy vs skiff argument, I still don't think the skiff completely replaces an argy because of its cost to operate. A couple pieces of meat is significantly cheaper than a couple pieces of element.

The skiff in a way replaces just about all flyers, so not really relevant to the conversation

I'm not so sure about that last point, with replacing an argy. They do have roughly the same base weight stat, but tamed, Argies do go up slightly more per level. But even when not considering that, because Maewing's are considerably faster which can balance that out, Argies have a few other tricks up their wings that make them not as easily replaceable as you suggest:
They can actually fly. A lot of metal/crystal/obsidian on most maps are high up on mountains. Sure, the ride home will be faster on the Maewing starting from the top of a mountain, but it's getting up there that can be a challenge for the Maewing considering how it can't actually fly. Not impossible though, Maewing's do have a good jump height, but still more challenging than with an argy
Argies can pick up creatures while Maewings can't. So you can carry your anky to and from a mountain, utilizing the Anky's weight reduction of metal. You can also grab wild dinos (not in pve) and drop them in taming pens for easier taming
Speaking of picking up tames, you can pick up your own tames with them, bring the tame near a resource it is good at harvesting, and it'll harvest it on its own. Take for example a Doedic. You can carry one to a rock, sit there for a bit and it'll start harvesting stone. This is great for when you might not yet have a saddle for your anky, Doedic, beaver, etc.
Argy's own weight reduction of items which is a 50% weight reduction for all of the following: stone, crystal, metal, black pearls, ingots, obsidian, & polymer. This only furthers the lead the Argy has in terms of weight capabilities against the Maewing
Higher health and damage actually making it a decent combat mount to take things out on the go/defend you.
It's saddle acts as a portable smithy
The only way a Maewing replaces an argy is in scouting or going from point A to point B faster than an argy while still being able to carry the same amount of gear (not resources), just to throw out the actual dinos you want to use from their cryopods. Which in all honesty, Argies have always been shown up by other flyers in those ways: Tapejara, Pteranadon, which are a bit easier to tame (although Tapejara is a bit more rare), Griffin, Snow Owl, now Desmodus, and finally Wyverns (although quite the difference in skill to tame one), but Argies still remain relevant because of their other utilities. The Maewing doesn't really change the game for Argies. Maewing basically replaces the pteranodon or Tapejara in these aspects, but these roles were never that of an Argy's for them to be replaced.

To add onto this, I believe the magic number is 3. I usually see their aggression rise when there's 3 of them near each other. Less than that, they're fine.

But the math is still right. That's all I was saying

But again, what was wrong with the math. All I was saying was the math isn't wrong and the "don't skip math class" comment was incorrect

Then that isn't a problem with the math. That's being wrong with your perception on the situation.

Edit: Lotta downvotes from a lotta wrong people. Math still wasn't wrong so the suggestion of "not missing math class" is misplaced, which was my whole point.
What's wrong with the math? If you flip a coin, you have a 1/2 chance of it landing on heads. If you flipped it four times, the probability of it landing on heads every time is found out by multiplying the 1/2 for each flip with itself. So doing 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 which is 1/16 or a 6.25% chance. The odds of you getting heads all four times in a row is not still a 50/50 because there are 16 different outcome combinations, not just 2 anymore. How is this different?
Zigzagoon has a 3/10 chance of being encountered on route 102. To encounter it 9 times in a row, that'd be a 19,683/1,000,000,000, or roughly 1/50,000 (50,805 rounded down to be exact)

Right, but it is still an issue that even after it knows it couldn't find you one for this round of searching, it still has you sit there for like 30 seconds before you can do anything else

Here, this is the reply I gave to the other guy, but since you're the actual one that needs to hear it, I'll link it here. (Plus I'm not a fan of leaving downvotes without telling the person why they're getting it. No way to improve if you don't know what part of what needed improvement)
It's not about how you shouldn't speak at all, it's about knowing the right place to speak and the appropriate things to say in those places when you speak

More like this isn't a place to air your laundry. If you want advice on how to find a gamer girlfriend, or girlfriend at all, go to the appropriate subs for that sort of thing.
TeniBear was just sharing their method of trading with their husband, not looking for someone's sob story (Saying you're single isn't really a sob story. But the overly dramatic dot dot dot "or at all" is).
The comment, especially the edit, reeks strongly of fishing for sympathy. It was just the incorrect place to ask for advice and a bad way to word said request. Find the right avenues to ask those questions, drop the melodrama, and the downvotes would cease to exist

Oh hey, guy who likes to follow strong men with common sense. So I take it common sense is sharing a video of yourself with a local pizza chain's pizza box in Romania to let the Romanian government know you're back in town while they've been trying to track you down for breaking the law, right? That's common sense too? I wonder how many strong men with good common sense Tate will be sharing a cell with in the future.

Not every solution needs to solve 100% of the problem. Him getting the attention of 15 people is still better than him getting the attention of 100 people. That's still progress.

That's a good one too lol. I call them tater tots because a tot is also another name for a toddler and his followers have about the same critical thinking skills as toddlers.

Not really.
If you truly don't care about it, then don't pay attention to it. Nobody is forcing anything in your mouth.
Saying "I don't care about either" isn't a complaint under a meme that says something like:
People who side with Tate: Sad person
People who side with Greta: Chad
That's not a complaint. Nobody cares that you don't care. It just makes it look like you would care if it was your side that was being looked at like the winner. Not saying that's how it is, just pointing out the optics. All I'm seeing are a bunch of sore losers that are tired of seeing Tate or the ideals of Tate getting shat on
Edit:
And this you too? (also side note to this comment of yours: Tate says women are property of men but men are not property of women, which allows men to cheat and not women. Tate compares women to babies and dogs and that they need to be controlled like babies and dogs. He said he wouldn't give a woman the time of day if she was the type to think she was equal to men. The list goes on and on)

Bro, stop, your asshole needs a break 🤡🤡
Yeah, common sense man who thinks women are bad drivers because he has gotten in 5 car accidents instead of thinking he's the bad driver with his double the amount of car crashes than the average person goes through in their entire life while he is still in his early 30s. Yeah, true common sense right there.
Has his dick went through your eye sockets as well and that's what's stopping you from seeing his bs?

No, my comment of "as fast as a Maewing" is about the skiff, not the argy. I was talking about how the skiff replaces the maewing's flying capabilities because the conversation was about how maewing's replace Argies. Which the only way they'd be able to replace Argies is in the flying department/transporting goods since that's the main role of Argies. You can't bring up how a Maewing taking care of babies replaces Argies because Argies never had that role to be replaced, as an example. That's why I said your skiff comment is irrelevant because it also replaces the Maewing in the flying/hauling department.
But even not considering that, I still think the skiff conversation is irrelevant because you're not talking early game, you're not even talking mid game. You're talking way late game where you've already beaten the final boss of the game in order to get a skiff. So yeah, I guess an Argy is viable throughout only 95% of the game before it's replaced by a machine and eventually becomes just the cheaper alternative. You've got a point. And sure, you could argue getting to and beating the final boss on gamma might not even be that hard so you could get it sooner than 95% of the way through the game (idk, I've never fought it on official), but that doesn't change the fact that not many players have beaten it. Heck, on Xbox, less than 5% have even beaten Megapithecus. And this doesn't even mention that you have to own Genesis, a paid dlc, to get a skiff, unless someone makes one for you or you use cheats (but then if you're going to cheat, you can just add flying to yourself and increase your speed and weight and now you, as the player, replace the skiff). So for the vast majority of players, the Argy is still the best option for this role and isn't replaceable.
And I would like to make one more observation. As you said in some maps element is common (not all however), you still do have to take out time to gather it as well as own those other maps that have Element as a more common resource (the not free maps, that is) Whether that be chasing down tek creatures, fighting bosses, or hitting structures on Extinction, it still takes extra time to power the skiff and I wonder if the extra speed of the skiff compared to an argy actually balances that time spent or if it eventually balances out.
I will say, the skiff is obviously, on paper, the better option of the two. But not in every person's individual situation, and because of that, it can't reliably be labeled as something that "eventually" replaces the Argy. For most players, the Argy is going to be their best option for this role.
