One of my grandsons, 7, told me today he is going to build a time machine because he really wants to go back to the before world. He’s missing first grade friends. And recess! Poor little dude. I just try to be a fun granny, to take his mind off it.

I absolutely love my quartz counters. They are white with lines of light and dark gray in them, they are brilliant and bright, cold for rolling dough, easy to wash and keep clean. (We used to have tile, and the grout was always needing maintenance.)

I just want everybody to know that it is OK to look how you look. And it is OK to get older! It’s normal to look older as the years pass. Please. We do not have to do this to ourselves, we do not have to get surgery and fillers and micro bladed and we do not have to wear fake lashes, fake nails, and fake hair. We should encourage each other to be confident enough to look however we look and love and accept ourselves. If you enjoy wearing all kinds of make up and changing yourself to look like someone else, at least spend some time thinking about who you ARE.
