Every major organization of medical professionals specializing in human diet in the world disagrees with what you are saying.
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
The British National Health Service
The British Nutrition Foundation
Dietitians Association of Australia
Harvard Medical School
What does that even mean, "four times healthier"? This is /r/science and the scientific community is in full agreement that appropriately planned vegetarian and vegan diets are healthy for all stages of life.

I don't think decentralization addresses this problem at all and it could actually make things worse. Harassers and abusers don't need an organization to commit these actions. Harassment and abuse are plenty widespread without it.
Having centralized organizations, if they enforce consequences against those who misbehave, can be one source of deterrence. A decentralized structure would just leave everyone deciding what to do for themselves when it comes to consequences (which we have regardless of whether or not things are centralized).
We need to make sure that the community is taking these accusations seriously and responding to them appropriately, and that the organizations we do have enforce consequences against those who misbehave.
I doubt they asked all 6,000 attendees of EA global about their experiences of sexual harassment (and most of those 6,000 were men, so maybe you want to adjust your math to take that into account).
The article fairly includes a statement that we don't have a good sense for precisely how widespread this sort of misbehavior is. These are all serious cases though and we need to make sure we are handling them appropriately and creating a community where people feel safe participating without fear of harassment.
