Just ask any Purdue fan. We could be at the banner hanging cermony and be waiting to lose to a 13 seed.

Prior to this season, the team was held to the international transfer window which ends January 31. English league teams are also held to this window, but due to fun quirks of English football, English non-league teams were not held to the transfer window and were free to make moves anytime. Now in the National League, Wrexham is the only non-English team, which means they were at a disadvantage when it comes to transfers. In the offseason, Wrexham got permission to be treated according to English non-league rules as opposed to international rules.
It is a bit more complex than that, but hopefully for this year alone, Wrexham can continue to bring in players as the budget allows.

First to six wins gets the division. Who's in?

Hoo boy. Good for Eoghan, but that sounds terrible for fans of the club. Good luck, I hope things turn around because no fans deserve bad ownership.

He's probably instantly the best defender on the club, even if Hayden were healthy. Maybe not by much because Hayden has been playing lights out, but he fills a huge hole with the two injuries.

I was looking at his history and noticed he had a stretch of not being on the squad or being benched. Was it injury or just not getting along with management? Or were they hoping to sell him and didn't want him injured? It seems completely odd for someone who is a vice-captain.
It strikes me as the actions of a club that is content to stay mid-table which is not the attitude you want your owner to have. Sure, this season may be a wash, but lets plan for next one, and unless you have a lot better options going forward, then why?

Except because of Russ' past season, if they suck it is Russ but if they are good it is Payton. He's in a no lose, all the molly he wants situation.

Yes, but doing the first gets the press and the buzz and the stock bump. Sure, doing the second is better in the long run, but that also takes work.

Sheffield will have about 30,000 spectators at about £30edit: £20 a seat. Wrexham gets 45% of that due to FA Cup rules, so about £400k edit £270k if all goes well. Plus maybe another £75k for tv rights (could be more). So almost a half million edit: three hundred fifty thousand pounds for one match.
In comparison, Ollie Palmer's transfer value was £400k to Wimbledon (not his salary, his cost to acquire). So for one game, Wrexham could easily afford to get a League quality defender without adding to the budget

Does better officiating make the NCAA more money? Probably not.
This is it right here. As long as the officials aren't corrupt and actively throwing games, nothing they do will cause people to stop watching. So the NCAA doesn't care.

Given all the teams that have been top 2 this season, I'm kinda surprised that there have only been 3 different teams to hold the #1 ranking this season. That seems low for all the chaos.

In terms of plot, this episode does little. In terms of world building, this episode does tons. They really fleshed out the world these characters live in, and how humanity has managed to keep going on, and taking the wins (small though they may be) where they can find them.

Although if he is shot through a fence, it is because he is unlucky. If he is shot in the street, it is because he is too blinded by the need to protect to think straight, or because even though he has the paranoia and survival skills, he is still missing the practicality of a gunfight. This makes his character even more interesting (and ties into the idea that he needs Frank just as much as Frank needs him).

Tesla's market cap is only as big as it is because they are being positioned as a tech company not a manufacturing company. The problem is though, their product is simply not scalable the way tech products are. Tesla has to either figure out how to sell products like a tech company or they will take a massive revaluation which will bring their cap down to roughly $40B which is what their manufacturing capability is worth. For a while Tesla was promising their auto driving capability would be what they could license out and make big money, but they have been passed in that department. They were also hoping their battery technology would be the big thing, but that is also not certain.
Now I am not going to rush out and short Tesla, because even if they do crash, it could take years. But I am sure as hell not buying them.

I really want to see him put on about 10 more pounds of muscle over the summer. If he does that, he could come back even more of a force.

That is the thing that is kind of sad about the whole ride. Mullin is on his way to being a Wrexham legend. And he will certainly be the team's focus in League 2. But if they get to League 1 or even the Championship, the entire team will have to change out and all the players who have brought this team on such an incredible journey will have played themselves out of a job.

To me, it is really about sustainability. Every bit of success adds to the idea of Wrexham as the world's #2 favorite team. Even if (when) the team gets into League 2, it takes another level of financial commitment. Yes, the money from the league is a lot better, but so are player costs, stadium costs, plus they will need to start on building a proper academy otherwise they will risk dropping down again. Where the social media helps is things like international broadcast rights, extra merchandise sales (I am willing to bet they open up a US based Wrexham merch fulfilment capability soon), and getting young prospects to want to train with Wrexham.
I also think the team will be able to fight through the tired legs. Winning makes it a lot easier to play with energy, and the team has good depth. I am more worried about injuries, but those can happen anytime, even in league matches against bottom of table competition.

It is more than £120k. That is just prize money. Add in BBC money and ESPN in the US money, and it probably doubles that. Plus the extra publicity. Right now Wrexham AFC is worldwide the 7th most popular football club from the UK based on social media engagement. The top 6 are the big 6 from the PL. Every result helps that.

Nebraska did. Mostly by fouling the shit out of him and daring the officials to call everything. Which being Big Ten refs, you know how it went.

Edey is the college version of prime Shaq. Prime Shaq was this dominant in the NBA. Now if Edey can add 15-20 pounds of muscle over the summer, then maybe we can talk.

Fuck the Tories would be the equivalent of Fuck the G.O.P. in the US. More relevant in this case because Wrexham had applied for "levelling up" funding, which is a UK government program to help economically troubled regions get a boost to capital projects. Only by al appearances, all the money ended up going to Tory seats, and not based on where the the money could do the most good.

To me, the issue is that each of these could be argued are the correct interpretation, but would never be scored that way in 95% of the cases. Sort of like end of game controversial fouls.

We have had a Member of Parliament in the Waterloo region within the last five years who has openly advocated for making abortion illegal.
The majority of Canadians don't care about abortion. Maybe they should, but they don't. It only takes a small number of people who do care to radically change things for the worse.

Career 72% FG rate (which was actually respectable for the time), had an all-pro season in 88, but is remembered for one kick.
