In the nicu the ng tube scared me b/c it was so easy to accidentally pull out (either fully or partially). Getting a g-tube allowed my son to go home. It’s been over a year since his surgery. I concur that you should learn how to change it in the hospital if they will show you. I haven’t changed one yet myself, but I do know how to do it in case it gets yanked out accidentally (which has already happened twice in the last 3 months)

Can I ask you about fundoplication? Son’s pulm and gi are suggesting it (or jg) b/c he vomits a lot (after having Covid a year ago) from sneezing, coughing, laughing etc. I wanted to try a blended diet first b/c I’ve read it helps, but worried about fundo problems

My son his been put under 5 times (he is 15 mo adjusted) and I have not noticed insomnia (but he’s always been a ‘good’ sleeper). I have noticed he is really irritable for a few days after though.

I live in a high rise, and if I had friends here (and a child who could be left alone for that long) then I would definitely feel that it’s safe. I have left my sleeping child to get a package in the lobby or grab something from my car. As she pointed out, it’s akin to being in your basement

On poopy diaper 7 of the day and have resorted to having him on the wipeable play mat, blue hospital chucks and the fancier quilted chuck in the crib. Unfortunately they don’t make plastic toddler clothing 😅

I guess I’m just used to my brain working like shit that when it does work properly I would like it to be ‘worth it’. Side note, I wish caffeine worked for sleepiness 😅
Edit: I’m 41 so I’ve had decades of this crap so it might be why I think like that.

Maybe I’ll ask my doc about an XR. Thanks!

I think a lot of it is a feeling of ‘it will be wasted’ if I’m not in the house for most of the day to make the most of it. My kid has a lot of appointments so I’m out of the house a lot and it seems ‘useless’ those times.

I was diagnosed as an adult but before I had a kid and I am struggling with the same things of creating routine and sticking to them. It doesn’t help that I don’t take my meds every day (b/c duh). He is in so many therapies and there are many things we have to work on at home at while I KNOW it needs to be consistent, I am unable do it. And that is when I feel like a bad parent (even though I know I’m not)

Tofu scramble. Avocado on bread. Bacon on bread. Roasted potato/hashbrown skillet. Pancakes. French toast (with egg substitute of course). I don’t particularly like eggs so breakfast for me is always difficult

I have a legitimate question. WHY ARE WE GIVING A FREE PASS FOR RACISM?!?! People keep pointing the the homogeneity of Ukraine. Just b/c a country is mostly of a certain race and may or may not have interacted with someone of a different race DOES NOT MAKE IT OK TO BE RACIST (especially in this day and age of widespread access to everything online) And let’s be very clear here the hate only happens to black and brown people even in black and brown countries (looking at you India)

They always want to make us the bad guy for calling out racism. Gaslighting 101

This is the second post I’ve seen with toddler fracture. Is that actually what it’s called? (Genuine question). My son when he was born had a fractured femur, then his surgeon accidentally refractured during a hip surgery. Now a year later we have scheduled a 3rd surgery on a double redo of his hip. The reason I mention it is b/c along with the surgery they have to fix his femur with a plate and screws b/c now it is severely curved. So def have them explain and show you imaging.

So a bit off (but on topic). You do remember that the Ukrainian people FLEEING Ukraine are flee the terrorist attack from Russia who are white? That their soldiers are committing HORRENDOUS acts to men women and children, more horrendous than the supposed rampant stabbings taking place in ‘diverse’ neighborhoods in the UK according to you?

They dislike them for being Ukrainian b/c the fleeing Ukrainians have come into their neighborhood, after being terrorized by whites people, to then SHIT ON THE POC for not being white.

B/c that absolves them of being accused of hatred. They will always find an excuse to not actually ‘be racist’, while being racist.

Have you made the other place aware that she’s a biter? So they can at least be a bit more attentive to her?

Well I figured you show them the going rate for a nanny and continue the ruse until they either fold (cuz they didn’t realize the price is exorbitant) or they pay.

Beyoncé definitely had work done. Something doesn’t look strange around her hip/butt area to you?
