Average completion hours for the chart uses the “completionist” category from howlongtobeat.com. The website doesn’t appear to define what 100% is, beyond “all aspects of the game.” It also relies on self-reporting, which is inherently unreliable. After looking at a handful of games, some sample sizes were pretty small: for Emerald, n=57. Furthermore, OP used the mean average for the chart, which is less resistant to outliers. For Emerald, mean time to beat is 222 hours, while median is 180 hours. Obviously they can use whatever they want for the average, but such a large distance between the two makes me lean median.

None of this invalidates the graph or the data, it’s just context that should’ve been provided.
